Installed a CB Radio in my WK2

So I bought two CB radios. One for my Rubicon and another for my Summit.

The model I chose was the Cobra 75 WX ST, which is an all in one radio. It works very well when your antenna is tuned properly. Installed in my JK my first radio check reached out over 11 miles!

The WK2 install was very straightforward and you can't even tell it's installed.

If anyone wants details I will post a write up.

For an antenna, I am using a Wilson Lil Will magnetic mount. I just store it and my SWR meter under the cargo floor.

I didn't know they still sold them.

Do remember that a picture(s) is worth a thousand words.

I would love some pictures too! I'm currently planning a ham radio install. I will hopefully get it done in the next month, hopefully much sooner.

I would love to see a completed ham radio installation in a WK2! The hard part is finding a place to put the control head for an IC-706MKIIG without messing up the interior. In my old 2001 JGC it fit nicely in the ashtray, but of course, those are a thing of the past!

I wonder if anyone has checked for RFI from the engine, fuel pump, CPU's, etc., or to see if 100 Watts of RF causes any problems to any of the onboard systems. Also, I understand the battery is now located under the passenger seat, so it's a shorter run to the back, but I haven't yet tried to get to the battery on my new Overland.

My installation is scheduled for May 6. I'm pretty excited about it.

Would you mind posting a write up or pm the details? I have this exact same radio from my Tacoma and I'm looking into ways to set up the radio on my Jeep.
