Backed into a sign, minor damage to 2012
I was stupid and impatient yesterday at people not knowing how to go with heavy traffic at a stop sign. I decided to back up to turn the other way. I backed up too far because I wasn't given any room to maneuver from the car behind me. Totally my fault for not paying more attention due to my irritation at the time. Needless to say, I have damage which I will see about getting fixed. Seeing how I have a good gouge in the bumper, I don't know if that is something they can just fix, or if it has to be replaced ( I don't know much when it comes to repairing plastic parts ). The taillight is cracked as well as you can see in the picture. Surprisingly, the sign went between the liftgate and the taillight; I don't think that could have been a more perfect scenario for me to hit a solid, thin object. Thoughts on if it is worth repairing and claiming an at-fault accident for my deductible? I am curious what you all think the cost might be as I can't get it looked at for two weeks. I am not home during this time.

Ehh that sucks I just had a pallet fall on my truck during a wind storm also minor damage but the bumper it is an easy fix, you probably just need touch up on the lift gate by the light and just for jeeps sells just that one light you need.... Honestly not that bad but just hurts the pocket a little bit! But hey maybe it can be an excuse to tint your tail lights at the body shop (if you don't wanna use the film)! :)
The bumper is gouged pretty bad. My picture doesn't show it though. It would have to be a putty repair job if its possible. I'll check out just for jeeps to price the light. Sorry to hear about your jeep meeting a pallet.
