Rear blue ray system is it overhead or headrest?

I'm looking to buy a 2014 Overland and I want the rear blue ray system. Is it the overhead or headrest install? I like the panoramic sunroof and want a rear headrest blue ray system, my dealership tells me that this is not possible because of the active head restraint system?

They are installed on the seat-backs and do not interfere with the active headrests. The system will not be available until July production.

Anyone know if the rear blueray/dvd players on the seat backs can be installed by the dealer after purchase? I need a vehicle before July but want the 2014 summit.

Not unless Mopar decides to offer some sort of accessory kit, but due to their integration into the seats I don't foresee this happening. To add them later would probably be cost-prohibitive as I'm sure you'd have to replace the seats - you'd be looking at many thousands of dollars plus all the wiring which could be a nightmare.

best option would go aftermarket on the headrest or find a total GC with the DVD option on a junkyard and buy the seats and all (not happening)

I am new the forum, considering a 2014 overland. Long story, but my 2013 Pathfinder is being bought back under the lemon law. I have been driving various Nussans since 1999. My last jeep I had was a 1988 Cherokee so thungs have changed since then.

Anyways I wanted the DVD as well but can't wait that long. There are other options, I have used Custom headrest DVD video players and monitors for your Acura, Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Jeep, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Nissan, Saturn, Toyota in two of my other vehicles. They make A very nice system for a considerable amount less than the factory system.

I am sure I will be popping in and posting questions as my search for a new vehicle begins.

Not being an apple bigot, but have you considered buying two ipad mini's or even full on ipad's (or any android equivalent as there are tons of them) and mounting them to the headrests? You can do it for a lot less than the systems I see on that link and especially cheaper than the jeep factory one. Then you get wifi, 4GLTE if you want it, bluetooth for the headsets, and bluetooth streaming of music etc to the jeep itself.

To mount, there are a ton of options... Amazon.com: ikross Durable 360 Degree Rotation Car Mount Tablet Backseat Headrest Mount Holder for 7 ~ 10.2 inch Tablets: Apple 2, 3, 4 iPad Mini, Acer Iconia Tab A500, W510, A210, A110; Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF201, TF300, Infinity TF700, VivoTab

Just a suggestion. Even the jeep sales guys say not to buy that option.
