08 OEM Projectors on 05-07 **Quick Method

I'm currently switching to a complete 08-10 bodystyle.

I bought the OEM style hid projectors and wanted to use my existing HID kit.
Here is the projector----->

I had the DS2 bulbs because i did a retrofit on my old headlights.

this is what the back of the projector looks like---->

Now here is my DS2 bulb---->

Now take some super glue (like crazy glue, something that will hold up for a longtime) and mount the DS2 bulb on the projector housing (put glue on the projector base and the base of the bulb). The DS2 bulb has a slot that will match up perfectly, and will be 100% secure.---->

The glue sets in about 2 minutes and is ready to go in about 30 mins to install your ballast on to the bulb. ---->

Now this housing is actually 100% exact to OEM. In this pic you see where the DS1 ballast would go.----->

****the reason i didnt buy a DS1 set up is merely due to cost of buying ANOTHER HID set up. DS1 set ups are expensive and i couldn't justify the cost. I used to the savings to buy V-led switchbacks and led interior upgrade.

I used that spot where the ballast would go, to stuff the wire harness(es) that you wont be needing to use.---->

My method will require you to do NO splicing or cutting of wires. This is great in case you were to sell them to someone who wanted a set in pristine condition.

**** i will check my old 9006 bulbs to see if they line up in the housing as well, that way it might give people an option to keep they're original setup as well

Any questions feel free to ask me, I know scott did a great write up, BUT i wanted to do this so people do have an option without spending more money :thumbsup:

I hope your bulb doesnt burn out on you, i have never seen someone superglue a bulb in before. I also hope you have the rubber cover for the projector housing so it doesnt fill up with dirt and water

No, it will be okay.

Now anyone can use something to put it on. (make a braket of some sort)

But will some solvent and a flat head a burnt out bulb would pop out.:thumbsup:
