Hello fellow jeepers. I'm on here for quite some time already, but mostly in the WJ section, since i own a 2004 WJ. It has now 185.000 Km on the clock and i was thinking in trading it in for a WK. This jeep has not been completely troublefree (two times tranny rebuild, eventhough this was a problem of the shop, changed all the valve stem seals after it started to burn oil and several other minor things).
Would like to hear experiences from other ex-WJ owners if they ever regret changing to a WK. Thinking in a 2008 WK, what do i have to look for and what i have to run from? Any common failures?
Your opinions and experiences will be well received.

Re: New(er) jeep
I never owned a wj, but I test drove one. the wk is much bigger inside, well in general of course, but with the kids being older the wk is/was a better "fit"
I have an '05 and got her with about 104k IIRC, now she has almost 152k. I had to change the starter & water pump last year, and the front axle bushings the year before. otherwise one sensor, batt and struts/shocks. not bad really. I have a hemi with a DS & trans tune from flyinryan and it runs like a bat out of hell! My only complaints with the hemi are/were the lag from the DBW and some soft shifting, both of which are 100% better from even DIY DS tuning.
Hope that helps!
