2013 Grand Cherokee Laredo
Well I have a strange question, sort of; We live in Alaska where it can get pretty cold, and this Winter I Noticed that around the shift lever, around the base I can feel a cold draft. I took it to the dealer within weeks of owning it and they said it was nothing, but I keep feeling it more and more that I drive, is this normal? Thanks
Re: Cold Air
Doesnt sound normal to me. It doesnt get nearly as cold here as in Alaska, but I have never noticed this. This sounds like an issue that would have been posted here by now if others noticed it. Possibly a missing grommet or cap that helps insulate the cabin from the tranny is missing.
I remember completing a transmission swap in my E36 328i and forgetting to replace a firewall grommet...lots of hot engine air in to the footwell. Replacing the grommet resolved it immediately. Hope yours is an easy fix.
I can't say I've ever noticed this on mine. I checked this afternoon but it's in the 40s and I didn't feel any cold air coming through. Are you in Anchorage? If so, which dealer did you go to? I've had pretty good luck with Lithia.
