Vibration at 1800-2000 rpms acceleration or in D
I recently recognized that my 2012 Ltd V6 with QTII vibrates during acceleration. I can feel it best when passing 20-25mph or 1800-200 rpms. I can feel it in the steering wheel and the floor.
I tried to replicate it in P, but the engine runs smooth.
I can replicate it in D at the same rpms, it also feels the same.
Car runs great, mileage is good I only have the intermittent clunk at accelerations (the bowling ball in the trunk) and a rough downshift once in a while when decelerating.
So is it the transmission? Normal, or an issue? Thanks for the feedback.
I've had the same issue in a 2011 V8 overland and now in a brand new 2014 V8 Summit. I have never been able to find anything describing what it could be. I went into three different dealers for service (numerous times in each) but they all said they could not identify the noise.
I have not been paying as much attention in the 2014 but in the 2011 I would say it was vibrating at around the same rpms. I a,ways wondered if it was the tires as it seems to change based on road conditions as well.
Let me know if you find anything and I will post if I do.
