New owner of 2013 GC Laredo !!

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself.

I've been an import guy for quite sometime and currently DD an Evo X MR. I had my son about 8 months ago and purchased an outlander sport as a secondary car thinking it should have plenty of space etc. I was wrong, The car was small as hell and there was literally no pull, 0-60 in like 7 seconds.

I looked into the market and found the Laredo, I showed my wife and literally that same day we saw about 15 GC/Laredo's. We knew it was a sign and after doing some research we finally decided it was time we purchased it. We bought a 2013 Laredo with the E package and Navi package. I've already plastidipped the wheel black and they really added some character to the car and made it look super tanky. The car has a lot of room for my sons stuff and we absolutely love the small amenities that the car is equipped with.

I have a couple of questions for you guys:

1. How hard is it to install a backup camera? is there a how to?

2. I saw an aftermarket HID thread and was wondering what parts are needed to change the bulbs to HID's?

3. What kind of intakes are available for this car? are they carb legal?

4. Is the Navi able to have a complete sound system hooked up to it, (new speakers, new subwoofer, 2 amps, etc?) I noticed under the seats in the back there was some storage room, is it possible to retrofit some low profile subwoofers under each?

I'll see you guys around the forums!

Here are pics of before plastidip and a pic of the painting almost being done.

Welcome!!! Nice Ride!!!! Backup camera WILL HAVE TO BE DONE by a dealership. they will have to flash into the system for it to work.

Back up camera is easy I just did it... Just order it from just for jeeps use the coupon code and then you can either buy a rear brow black with it... Or you can plasti dip the chrome one(they don't sell the black with the camera you have to order seperate) than you just have the dealer do it... Since you bought it recently see if you can work something out w them! Good luck it's a simple swap and wire (and dealer flash) !

You can install the backup camera yourself and have the dealer flash it, or just have the dealer do it. For HID's you can put an aftermarket kit in but I wouldn't recommend it since you don't have projectors, I'm sure there is a way for you to put the limited/overland lights in but for what price I don't know. I believe the mopar intake is carb legal but don't quote me on that.

Add your Jeep to the members ride show off section. It will get more exposure there. It's a beautiful ride.

Welcome aboard.
Mopar makes a CAI for the GC. Although, I'm not so sure it is "cold" as it sits in the engine compartment.

Nice. I would love to see some up close pics of the plasti dipped wheels and our opinion of it.
