Ideas on how to keep my sub box from sliding around?

So Im really getting sick of my sub sliding back and forth in the back of the truck. I think my main problem is that it is only a single 12" JL and doesnt have the weight that 2 would have. Its not like I drive crazy at all but it still seems to slide back and forth when I turn. I was wondering if anybody has good ideas to secure it down so it doesnt move? I figure that velcro wont work because of the weight and vibration, and I dont really want to put velcro on it anyway.

Just looking for thoughts.

Thanks

the kicker ones hook into the back of the rear seats. maybe you could get a bungee to hold it there.........

Dude, you definitely want to secure an enclosure... that can become a huge threat if your are in an accident.

In each of my build logs (linked in my sig) I have two different methods of securing an enclsoure.

Don't use Velcro, don't use a bungee, use something that is in fact secure.

that was my other concern as well. Im not sure how I would secure it with a box that is already built. Ill have to look at it or take it to the shop that installed it. You would think that they would have to secure it down when they install it.

I mean, if you aren't concerned about drilling into your floor, you can just go pick up an 'L' bracket or two from Home Depot and use that to secure it.

I didn't want to do that though. Both methods I did won't be noticable when removed/uninstalled for selling the vehicle.

I used "L" brackets on a sub box in my Durango, It worked well. But like Matt said, depends on if you want to drill into the floor.

Unless its mounted directly to the floor it will go anywhere it wants in the event of an accident. No L clamps or bungee cords are going to hold a box in place. Take the subs out drill 2 holes through the floor ( very carefully ) and nut and bolt it down. Put the subs back in and they are totally hidden. If you sell your jeep just put 2 body plugs in the hole and call it a day. No buyer would ever notice the 2 holes in the carpet.
