Rockford Fosgate

Has anyone out there tried the Punch Powered Loaded Subwoofer? I was thinking about trying one out but am undecided on the 10" or 12" sub. Its cool cause everthing is there. Box, sub, and amp. Everything is stock in my GC. Just want a little clean bass for my metal music!!!

Re: Rockford Fosgate

Have never tried them. Always heard bad reviews about RF Subs and amps.

it actually gets really good reviews on amazon. I just want to keep it simple and still have it sound good. Dont want to load my hatch with a big speaker box and amps. Yep! I'm gettin old!!

Re: Rockford Fosgate

The bad reviews ive heard have been from local audio shops when i was shopping
around for my system. If the price is right and its what you want go for
it.

good luck

Back in the day RF used to be what you got when yoy wanted tk give your neighbors a headache, and the amps were awesone. I donw know how much they have changed, but RF is still a good major brand IMO.

In my previous truck, 07 Nissan frontier Nismo, I had a 10 speaker Rockford system in it. It was a crew cab, I had 4 tweeters, two front in dash and two in the rear doors, had 4 mids in the bottom of each door, and had two subs underneath the rear seat. With 800watt amp. The sound was clear, you could pick up every aspect of a song. And with the subs it could hit but not enough to annoy traffic around you. Was set up to enjoy music to be loud but not drown it out by the bass. The 45k miles I put on that truck, never had any issues with the components.

i have 2 10" rockford punch p3 shallow mounts in a custom box, takes up little to no room and sounds great! even with an average amp (pioneer mono)....Sounds just as loud and much cleaner than the 2 12" jl audio w0's i had previously

I also have the P3 shallows and the prime 1000 watt amp from rockford and I am happy with them they push out more than enough bass and sound clean. i have always used Rockford and I have been happy with every single setup.

Bit pricey though for SQ, the Hertz Audio is quite high on the scale, check out my build which was completed last week, thrown all sorts of music genres at it and it handled it all without any issues. Decided to go with 12" Hertz Sub in a sealed box, it sounds loud in the car, and not too ghetto outside the car, so a 'mature' build that has the power when needed :)
