For all those who said SRT bumper and tow hooks = Not possible

Check this out.... Just saw this add on ebay. this jeep has the srt front bumper and tow hooks and it looks like no modifications were made.

I know but i dont consider no lower grille a modification. from what people were saying you would have to hack the actual bumper assembly to make them fit.

from my experience we knew they wouldnt fit or work with the SRt front bumper because of the lower grille. Why would anyone want tow hooks wiht the SRT front? Then you would have this huge, ugly hole showing the vehicles guts.

It looks like if you used that hook, the tow line could put gouges or scratches in the fascia.

With this mod you must use the license plate holder to hide all the ugly guts. License plate not included. :D

License plate holder is in the wrong place.... the grille has been removed from the lower valance, and he/she has destroyed the front bumper (notice the big tear in the bumper below the license plate)

The tow hook is hardly noticeable while I stare in bewilderment at that horrid grille...

It's set way far back as well, as others have mentioned, you'd destroy the bumper trying to pull on it.

Side note: I don't see brake cooling ducts behind the inlet around the fog light, the front chrome strip is missing, and those tires look like the stock laredo BFG all terrains. Is this a Laredo with an SRT bumper on it?

At the risk of being really annoying... my '07 GCSRT8 (export version, assembled in Austria) has a front tow hook from the factory...

lets see that. Is the lower grille different on exports or is the hook somewhere else?

The bottom bumper support is missing. (Large black plastic piece) If you look close you could reach right up into the opening from below where the grill is supposed to go. There is literally no front support behind the bumper which is probably why it is already cracked in half. One more tap with a parking block and it's toast.

Missing this piece.

I mounted my license plate in the same spot using tubular aluminum spacers behind it to bring it forward and give it stability. I didn't want to drill into my bumper and I think it looks much cleaner.
