HID bulb replacement
Hello all,
2011 limited GC- I noticed today that the pass. side light has started to turn pink (which I have dealt with on other HID equipped vehicles which tells me the bulbs life is coming to an end) I tried searching for this, but only came across "how to replace entire headlamp assembly." to which I certainly don't need.. Is there any "simplistic" way to replacing said bulb? I took the round cover off within the wheel-well,basically just to visually see components, and can see the HID bulb assm, but doesn't look 'easily' accessible. My thoughts, remove the wheel well lining, to better address the base, but not sure if this is even possible/smart?
Several other posts suggest I will need to remove the entire front end ie; bumper, grille etc. which seems a bit asinine to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Basically the same? Not really. PCM looks totally different in a 2011 Overland. Anybody got pics showing how to disconnect that?

I just disconnected the neg terminal on the battery when I replaced mine. The key is those metal fingers. They need to go around the ballast. That was my struggle that was not mentioned in anyones replacement.

Re: HID bulb replacement
Yep, If you smash one or more of those metal fingers/prongs down it'll be a nightmare to get it back straight to make the bulb fit correctly. Be careful when aligning the bulb, make sure the socket connecter is pointed down. When you get it just right it'll firmly smoosh into place with a subtle thump, not a click. Then the release/grabber tab is a counter clockwise to release, clockwise to grab motion... Not up or down. It's the same motion for both sides.
