help! cant remove the rear brake rotors

like it says, calipers are off, parking brake disengaged. Feels like the rear rotors are held on by more than the normal rust. any pointers?

Hit it with a Hammer or a rubber hammer. This happens to me sometimes....

whoa did you remove the o-ring......

if yes, then its just sort of stuck to the hub, a good whack witha rubber mallet or even a kick......

x4 ^^^^hit it hard with a plastic, or a really good kick. they will come off.

The hub of the rotor should have threaded holes to wind a bolt into and break it away without resorting to hammers.

Re: help! cant remove the rear brake rotors

Before you replace them, make sure you drill and tap holes into the flange of the rotors (two - opposite each other) So that you will be able to remove them next time. For some reason the OME versions did not have these jacking holes on the rear disks.
