Not sure if you can text or just reply... are the uconnect reading messages for you?

Mine does that, but I haven't actually tried to text anyone, maybe through voice command since it's hard to believe it would let you actually text on the touchscree

Please do because I've tried it multiple times and I can't get the messages to come up

I tried a few things and it didn't work, I could't even reply to a message even with the car into parking, bummer! Then when I got home I looked at the voice command manual and I wasn't really using the commands it is expecting, so maybe it will work, try the commands on the phone section there is supposed to be a "send message to" command, I will give it a try as well

Ya I tried that but because iPhone doesn't have messaging in Bluetooth it won't work. All of the buttons (phonebook recent calls etc) are all highlight and messaging is darkened out and unclickable. Don't think it works with iPhone. Only android. I'm gonna try it with my buddies droid and see what happens

Me too... the message actually seems to go through, but it doesn't actually go. It's okay reading messages, but it can't send!

yes, iphone! if you get a message it should just pop up on the screen and it's gonna say you have a new message. caveat is that you can't read messages that are already in your phone, you can only read the ones you received while the phone is paired to the car

See I don't get that option. Is there a setting I need to turn on in my phone?
