NHarris's WJ Build Thread

Although I've been registered here for a while, I haven't had a Jeep this whole time. I was building explorers for several years and finally decided to switch over to a Jeep Grand Cherokee... After months of waiting for the right Grand Cherokee I bought this one in December. I have the original window sticker and maintenance records for it. I have done some work on it since then...and...here it is!

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
Bought with 94k miles
One owner
Clean interior and exterior

Specs:
4.0L L6
SelecTrac 4x4
3.55 gearing

Took it home during a test drive to have the wife check it over...and...she agreed to it so I rocketed back to the dealership and bought it.

Taking it out for a spin.

Decided to throw a cheap 2.5" coil spring lift from FBG on with some used tires

Moab wheels are a great/inexpensive touch. Looking good!

Did you order them or find them locally?

Re: NHarris's WJ Build Thread

I actually found them locally from a guy who claims they were in the SEMA show on a JK8...

Good news to announce. My wife and I are very close to buying a color matching 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.2L with 131k. Hoping to snatch it for $1000.00... Runs and drives perfectly. Figured my registry is the place to share this great news. :D

May as well add a picture... It has minor front end damage; hood, lights, grille, bumper cover, etc. If it has no structural damage I'm buying.. Its not a hard fix being that I do body work 5 days a week....

Decided to upgrade to rough country quick disconnects. Should help out quite a bit when I go to Moab this weekend...

I did paint em. I used surfacer primer followed by gun metal gray paint then sprayed a layer of clear coat on. They turned out great, but use a paint gun if you can; harbor freight ones will work fairly well. The finish seems to be very durable as I've ran these wheels from Montana to Utah and down through Moab with no rock chips in em at all. I'm not overly thrilled with the color at times, as sometimes it seems to have a bluish tint to it, but I like the look it gives the Jeep. If you want some close up shots, I can post a few up.

I finally did it. I broke down and ditched those foggy headlights for some clean new headlights. It looks amazing in my honest opinion. I can't stop looking at my WJ.
