PZero tire wear.

just UNDER 8000 miles in 8 months on my PZero Perillis.. am I the only person who thinks it is INSANE that I have no tread left? I gotta ask. why 62k for a car that gives you 8k worth of tread life on tires ??

What "SRT Engineering Team" decided THIS was a good idea?

I got just over 20k before I switched to Yokohama Paradas.

You have a problem with your tires, truck, or driving habits. Seriously. There is absolutely no way in hell your tires should be gone. You need to take it to the dealer.

In addition to RAC88s testimony, I have over 18k miles on my truck and I have TONS of tread left. I'll bet I get 30k+ out of them.

Let me guess. You have the 3 season not all season?

Re: PZero tire wear.

Shouldn't matter that much. Should still get way more than 8k miles.

I have 3 season tires with 6000 miles and lots of tread left and they still look brand new BUT i did change the camber settings at 2600 miles and i think it will help any inner tire wear we may have like we did with the WK1.

I have the 3 season zero's and in my opinion they are bad.20k kilometers and they are almost gone.
Will not buy Pirelli tires again

Re: PZero tire wear.

I have the all seasons and just under 10K on them. They are easily half wore as the wear indicators are very close to being flush. The three season P-Zeros are just that, P-Zero's. Its a totally different compound and they have a dismal wear rating of 220 I believe. The Zero's are going to wear a lot like a Supercar tire that has been afixed to a SUV. If you get 12-15K out of the Zero's , I think you are doing extremely good.

Re: PZero tire wear.

I have 20k daily driver miles on the all seasons and tread is bare. Yokohama Paradas on order. Looks like I'm following in RAC88's footsteps.

This is the worst tread wear of any tire I've owned; glad I didn't go withe the 3 seasons.

Re: PZero tire wear.

I switched to BF Goodrich g-force KDW's 295/45/20 the day after taking possession and have been happy ever since. Pirelli are all name/marketing. Great tire if you are on a track but for street use, so soft so they get destroyed.

Re: PZero tire wear.

So the life of these are very inconsistent. Maybe the SRT Engineers thought if a buyer can afford a $65k super SUV then they can afford the matching tires. You gotta pay to play!

Re: PZero tire wear.

pay to play for 8k miles? NOT a good choice by the "SRT Engineering Team" that talks about how much they sweat out every small detail ... i.e. airvents on the viper... every groove, ounce etc etc ... and they outfit a car with tires that only go 8k miles? Ridiculous choices were made that day in the Engineering Team boardroom. IMFO.

And this is my fourth SRT... never had ANY issues with any prior tires. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the feedback(s) and feel free to keep 'em comin'. (including what you replaced with.. that helps)
