iPhone 5 with RBZ 430 radio

Anyone had issues w connectivity? I have a 2011 WK2 w RBZ 430 (no nav) and currently an iPhone 4.

My iPhone 4 works fairly well. The music works well as does the Bluetooth phone but streaming from Pandora and some other apps is extremely troublesome. Interested in others' thoughts/concerns ... namely w the iPhone 5.

Go!

My wifes iPhone 5 works for phone calls. Haven't tried much of anything else yet.

Re: iPhone 5 with RBZ 430 radio

G'day, I had some "challenges" with my iPhone 5, not so much connecting but hearing audio from navigation apps etc. After some googling I found a system that works for me.

Firstly (unrelated to connectivity) I got one of these mounts Centre Mount - Grand Cherokee 11-12 - Jeep - Car Dashmounts and one of these holders Passive Holder for Otterbox Armor Series - iPhone Shop this is a reasonably elegant solution.

I say reasonably because here in Australia the steering wheel is on the right hand side of the vehicle but the indicator stalk remains on the left side of the steering column. This brings the phone close enough to the indicator stalk to need to adapt to it being there, no biggie.

Next I got a power adapter that plugs into the lighter socket in the storage area with the door in front of the centre console, below the ventilation controls etc. On this subject, I always ensure I get the higher rated 2.1amp/10watt charger (suitable for iPad) as the iPhone 5 is a power pig when using navigation apps and playing music etc.

Do not use one of the built in USB chargers, they will (somehow) make connectivity nearly impossible.

I then turn on Bluetooth on my phone, connect to Uconnect as I'm sure your Car Dealer demonstrated (fingers crossed) or as laid out in the owners manual. I then select AUX on the car Audio display and on my iPhone I select an Audiobook in iTunes (you could just play music). I can then use my choice of navigation app, usually Navigon. Maps are displayed on the iPhone and Audio plays through the car stereo, sweet!
