Hey. Today me n my buddy plasti dipped for the first time. Did the chrome bar at the back of my '12 GC. Really happy with the outcome. Im planning on doing the chrome bits on the side, 4X4 logo and jeep logo on the front.

Lets see other people's plasti dip mods :)

Check this link: Chrome Mirror Covers - Jeep Grand Cherokee - Item # 82212218

Use the product installation guide. Once you get the mirrors out of the housings you'll see the tabs you need to lift to pull the caps off.

I really want to do my front grill. But i dont want to take off the whole front. Is there a way to remove the front chrome grill without removing the whole bumber?

I am buying stock in 3M Painter's Tape and Plasti Dip. There are some repairs to be done in the tow hook area but it is coming out fine.

I just learned that really, you must use a sharp knife to help cut the rubber and not put tape all the way to the edge. I am sure that as my skill progresses, my work will get better. Next - mirrors and front grille. The matte finish matches the texture/color of the plastic so it is all good.

Wow that's a big improvement, looks great! I never did care for all of the irrelevant chroming on the upper trim levels.

How did you dip your grill? Did you have to remove it?
