'12 Sport Front License Plate help...

I recently got a nice mirrored laser cut collegiate plate for the front of my '12 Liberty Sport. I went to try to put it on, but cannot get even close to being able to get underneath/behind the bumper in order to do this. I don't really have a lot of tools or knowhow to take the bumper off, so I don't want to attempt that. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

-K.

The front plate brackets are screwed into the plastic bumper with sheet metal screws that are packaged with the bracket. If you are using the Jeep bracket, the dimples in the bumper are to point out screw placement.

My front bumper already has the holes in it, so it's not that I don't know where the screws go in, etc, I just don't know how to get behind them bumper to put the nuts in place to secure the screws.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you wrote, I'm not sure.

Sheet metal screws are like wood screws, except they have a straight, rather than a tapered, shaft. You don't put a nut on the back of a sheet metal screw. Make sure the ones you have/get fit tight, otherwise go one size larger. They do not have to be long ... 3/4" to 1" is all you need.
