22x10 or 22x9 Viper reps on R/T?
I am trying to decide on FR Viper reps for our new R/T. Has anyone done the 22x10 vs 22x9 on all 4 corners with 3rd gen R/T? Please let me know I need to order asap. Thanks in advance! pics would be great too if available

hey Man

I would personally recommend the 22 x9's

I have 22" SRT reps and the fittment is ideal - aggressive, sticks out a slight bit past the fenders, and handles/rides close to stock as far as comfort, much better as far as performance

Another member CMiL has the 22x9 Vipers on his DD, I'm sure he'll reply. In the meantime I'll post up some pics of my setup shortly...

Technically I think you can still do the x10's and its your preference - just giving you some insight on the x9's -
Any particular reason you were thinking x10's?

Re: 22x10 or 22x9 Viper reps on R/T?
Thanks for the insight...I was only thinking of the 22x10 because FR is out of the 22x9 in the black, I have decided to get the machine face finish (they have plenty of these) and have them powder coated satin black, I am not a huge fan of the gloss black anyways. So I guess it works out the better for me that way. I would love to see some pics of your D. I will try to post some before and after pics. I bought the bright white blacktop edition. Looks killer already but I think having satin 22's would just be awesome along with some tinted tail lights and windows. Thanks

I went back and forth between satin black and comp grey for my black R/T but really how can you go wrong with either one?!

But in the end I chose comp grey because I wasn't in the mood to murder it out and I'm not one of the opinion that black wheels look good on everything (I think dark grey and gunmetal wheels look good on everything lol - especially white hint hint haha)

Tried pulling up a few pics that give a decent idea of how this size fits the DD

22x9 ET35 is the way to go, I believe you would run into issues running the 10's up front!

Re: 22x10 or 22x9 Viper reps on R/T?
Thanks for the advice guys...after seeing the srt comp grey on the black I am now torn on the srt or the Viper reps...decisions decisions. Has anyone considered the GC eibach spring set up to just give it that extra bad ass look? I would even consider lowering just the back just 3/4" to level it out. I may try that first cause I think the front is fine when you run 285/40's but the back still leaves a bit to be desired. (don't get me wrong your rigs look absolutely amazing). thanks again guys, I will post pics soon...the D is getting clear bra, tinted front windows and tinted taillights today. :D

What brand/size tires are you guys running? anything you would change about the tires or size? Thanks again

We have 285 40's on our 22x9s....looks awesome I think

are the nitto 420s tires louder than the p.o.s. good year stock tires?

Scottina06 05-02-2013 06:18 PM

No....much better tire to me

Put 9's on front and 10's on back!!! SRT runs staggered and I have run staggered on my GC and my previous X5. As long as you keep the alignment straight, tires will wear evenly without the need for rotating. I ran Toyo Proxes STII's on both vehicles and got 40k+ miles out of every set (4+ sets between the 2).

Not sure what everyone's hang up is about running a staggered setup. Trust me, it looks badass with all that rubber in the back!!

I run 275/40-22 Nitto NT-420S and very happy with them!
