Radio Question 2005 GC (newbie)
 
Ive got n 05 gc With the RAQ radio. and the factory amp. Can I switch to the 06 factory radio or another 05 from a different model for the Aux plug? hres what I have 6 disc changer steering wheel buttons and the factory amp
I want to keep it all stock on the inside so any help I will appreciate.

I am sure this question has been beat to death already :)

you can put any other 05 radio in plug and play..... including navigation

you can also install a RER touchscreen navigation from a 08-10 Chrysler dodge or jeep vehicle. you just need the radio, bezel, bezel frame adapter, nav antenna, and lockpick

Im still new to jeeps so bear with me lol..I have the 05 limited so which model is the std head unit in this? Main thing I would like is some kind of aux or usb input apart from that the sound is quite good imo..whats the best avenue in my case?

Not that I know of. Unless you have the REC w/VES, which has an input for the rear VES and acts as an AUX in.

I'm actually in the process of doing this myself. You could even take the 06' radio out of a Jeep Commander with the aux and it will work fine. Plug and play. You can find one for like $70 on ebay.

You learn something new every day. Too bad a unit comparable to my REC would probably cost $600+.
