Rear Brakes binding after new pads installed

Hi Guys, need a little advice. i had really badly worn rear brakes (one had a pads metal to rotor metal rubbing) on my 05 WK.

after i replaced them im having a brake binding issue - hotter rear brakes, harmonic squealing when driving, NIL EVIC msg's. my mechanic said the previous pads were so worn that the brake piston had rust on a extended surface & cleaned them but no dice. same symptoms next day.

any advice on what to do next?

is there some kind of brake kit i can order that can solve the issues? (with new piston dust boots ect)

Might be a number of things. Ive seen bent axels on a solid rear diff do the same thing. A good clean and a bit of lube should fix the piston, if that is the problem.
