I really need alot of help from you guys!!

Hey guys how are you!! Well i have a big problem regarding my 2005 jeep grand cherokee 5.7 liter V8, my transmission failed on me about a month ago, the car went on 3rd gear with a check engine light lit i am guessing this is a failed safety mode to the car saying that the gear is broken. So i took it to the local workshop and he took about 2 weeks to fix the gear. The man took it to a local chrysler workshop to erase the code so that the 3rd gear wont get stuck. The codes are all gone and the car was doing fine. So he called me and told me that the car is finished. I gave her a little go and the 3rd gear got stuck again with the engine light on. I returned it to him for another time, it took around 2 days for him to find out whats wrong, im not sure what he did but now the electronic breaking system malfunctioned, ABS Electronic stability control, and the hand break lights are on with the 3rd gear stuck and the check engine lights are on. Im so mad because he is not specialized on chrysler products and i am suspecting that he did something wrong. Is there anything you guys would like to say about this.
Thanks!!!:):):)

Wheel speed sensors, speed sensor in the transmission maybe? Take it to a dodge/jeep dealer and plug it in to starscan. It will tell you which sensor is jacked.

The transmission uses 3rd gear as a limp home mode, as it is one of the only gears that are entirely mechanical/hydraulic and are not dependent on transmission electronics.

If just about anything electronic malfunctions in the transmission, or if the control module thinks something could get damaged, it will stay in 3rd gear. This doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with 3rd.

All that aside, it sounds like where ever you had taken it too was not equipped to deal with the transmission, and you should probably take it elsewhere. If they can't clear/read transmission DTCs (which only requires a good scanner...not even a starscan/wi-tech, just a good generic one will do) and have to take it to the dealership to clear those codes, they are almost certainly guessing what is wrong with your vehicle.

Take it to a reputable transmission shop or as mentioned above, the dealership.

Once you get a proper diagnosis, you can go back to the original mechanic that did the repair and try and get some compensation...but it'll be an uphill battle. At this point, I would cut your losses and get it fixed properly. The days of being able to pull a transmission, visually inspect for damage, replace what looks broken and reinstall are long gone...

Mine went into limp mode not too long ago, wouldn't shift out of 4th. Dealer replaced a selenoid on the tranny.

Mine happened first thing in the morning (430am) before work. Needed to get to work so my 40 mile highway commute was accompanied by high rpm driving and a hit on mpg....but got me to and from....then immediately to the dealership

They have fixed the 3rd gear problem yay!!! However, the brake lights, esp and the abs lights are on, and on the dashboard it says electronic brake system service. I really dont know what to do, and everytime i make a steep turn like when i turn left. The car feels as if its going to crumble down because its shaking violently. But then as the steering wheel becomes straight the vibration stops!! The mechanic said its the brake stop switch that is causing the problem. Do you think so??

No.. sounds like a wheel speed sensor skewing out. What speeds?

Its just whenever i make a U-turn at around 5-10 miles while turning left or right. But can it still be driven??
