I noticed a rattling noise coming from the back of the jeep that has gotten worse recently. I crawled underneath and both rear LL shocks are leaking after only 28k miles. I called the dealer and i have an appt for monday morning. Is there anything else i should have them check while its in the shop?
Search for "rattle/creak in rear" and you will find a few threads on it. They have gone through 3 or 4 part revisions on the LL shocks. I had one replaced with the latest one and haven't had any problems with it yet.
went to the dealer and they looked the shocks and found the left rear was leaking. They ordered a replacement shock, they said it should be in about 5-10 days.
I only had the passenger side replaced and haven't had the time to make it back to the dealership to question it. No noise anymore though so that's a plus!
Should be one of the most recent on WK2Jeeps.com if you are using that. I believe they are posted in order by date and I know it was only a few weeks old.
I hadn't seen the TSB yet, but heard a noise over bumps at low speeds, so I took my '12 in when i tried to order CRD. They referenced this TSB and ordered parts, should pick it up at lunch tomorrow.
I had just hit 30k on mine when it happened.
