Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

Feel free to correct me or add to the list. But having owned both recently, I noticed some subtle differences between the two trim levels that are not really mentioned on the websites. So while I was at it, I wanted to give a breakdown of what you get with a standard Overland:

The full list is available here: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_2014_pricing.htm

But a glance, here is what you get with a 2014 V6 Overland that you cannot get standard on a 2014 V6 Limited:

Wider piece of plastic around door locks (subtle difference)<O:p</O:p
Painted molding around wheel wells and body trim
Painted roof antenna (subtle difference)<O:p</O:p
8.4 AN (includes travelink)<O:p</O:p
20 inch rims<O:p</O:p
Leather wrapped dash and upper part of doors<O:p</O:p
Lux Group II package (standard)<O:p</O:p
Stop start button has an indented piece of plastic around the push button (subtle difference)
Wooden steering wheel<O:p</O:p
Tow package<O:p</O:p
Automatic tilting inward/outward mirrors (subtle difference)
Electronic tilt/telescoping Steering wheel<O:p</O:p
Indigo blue interior (not availble on Limited)
Open poured wood trim<O:p</O:p
Front tow hooks
Ambient lighting rear seating area
Panoramic sunroof

However, you can deck out a limited with the Lux Group II package and 20 inch rims, which essentially, becomes an Overland, I think.
<O:p</O:p

From what I can tell the Summit was more aesthetics plus/minus a few options, which I don't feel justifys the price difference. I also don’t care for the standard 20 inch high polished rims.

Advanced Tech Group is an option on Limited as well as Overland.

That website is very helpful but it doens't show you the subtle differences like, the electronic telescoping steering wheel, wide plastic around door locks and plastic around the stop/start button.

Wow! Shows how much I know. I had no idea the Limited could include all that ina Lux II. So essentially, the same options as an Overland! Way cool!

:p Yep, there's now one other 14 model running around town I see every morning heading into work and I can easily tell it's a Limited and not an Overland due to the lack of front tow hooks and wheel arches. The limited is an awesome deal if you don't want to spend the extra on the details the overland offers. I was torn initially, but my wife said go ahead and spend the extra instead of settling.

I wouldn't consider the painted exterior trim a 'subtle difference' - I think it's a *big* difference.

Not all of us. I think the Limited can be every bit as nice as my Overland. The first Jeep I looked at had the leather dash and I decided I wanted it. I'm not sure I would really miss it if it wasn't there.

If I had waited for a Limited with Lux package, maybe I would have gotten a trouble free Jeep.

I added the tow hooks on my Limited via the the offroad package and love the look. I really didn't like the wheels on the Overland. Now the painted exterior trim, that's a different story.

Re: Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

We were set on a limited with the Lux2 package but then saw the overland and limited in person.

The painted bumper and trim really makes a huge difference on the appearance of the car if you get a lighter color like silver, white, red, etc.

If you get black/granite/max steel it isn't as noticeable, but the overland still looks much sharper.

Then we saw the Indigio Blue and Brown interior and our mind was made up.
