Copper Interior Trim Only?

I was just told by a dealer that the only way the '14 GCs come from now on is with the Copper interior trim; no more silver. I am 99.9% sure this isn't true, but I figure I would confirm with the experts.

Thanks

2014 GCs: only the Overland Indigo Blue / Jeep Brown interior, the Summit Black interior, and the SRT interior has silver trim.

The "copper" is only in the MY14 Summit with the Jeep Brown interior. Silver is in the models that jgc4ever mentioned. All the rest have a slight gold tinge to the "silverish" color, just like my MY12 Summit, but is not "copper".

Its definitely more pronounced in the 14's then it is in the 11-13's.

I have to say, this is a huge oops on Jeeps part. I hate the gold tinge to the trim, so now I am "forced" to go with an Overland, Summit, or SRT. I say forced because honestly, stupidity like this will play a role in my looking at other brands.

Unless of course the '14 Trailhawk comes out and delivers something close to the concept; I will buy that truck sight unseen.

Re: Copper Interior Trim Only?

I have a suspicion that this particular shade of paint on that trim was evolved to be "warmer" and more compatible across several interior color choices while using only one set of mass produced and finished parts as well as to contrast with the chrome banding. That's often the case when color styling is involved in design. True "silver" is somewhat a "colder" color (more toward the blue end of the light spectrum) and to some eyes, harsh. It's the same thing that keeps folks wanting their modern lighting to mimic incandescent bulb output..."warmer" light is easier on the eyes.
