OK, so the wind caught my door, and it does'nt fit now

Is the a common fault?

During a minor blizzard, I opened the drivers door, and the wind took it out of my hand and slammed it open

Now have a lot of wind noise and the door catches in the rear of the front wing (fender) and although I have tried to pull it back (with a slight improvement) its still not aligned

HELP:confused::confused:

the door on a WK is a heavy bitch. add the size of it and the distance it travels before it hits the stop on the hinge. you end up with a lot of momentum and force.

Looking at http://www.scribd.com/doc/20028846/J...ection-23-Body

It would appear the hinges and therefore alignment to be adjustable

Could anybody confirm this?

do your hiunges look bent or pulled away from the body? Do you have the 2 bolt or 3 bolt hinges?

Definitely bent hinges or the body can be bent too where the hinges mount...they will have to be either replaced, or hopefully just adjusted...

Right, I pushed and pulled and twisted and lifted and although the amount I could move it worried me, it seems to have improved the fit/noise

The top hinge is visably moved away from the a post and its because its only held on by 2 x bolts, a third would have stopped this happening:rolleyes:
