engine coolant advice in UK

Hi
I bought a new 2013 jeep grand cherokee s limited a few weeks ago in the uk.
I just pulled up on my drive and noticed a burning smell so I opened the bonnet and noticed there was hardly any engine coolant in the bottle well below min line. Can anyone tell me where I can get some from in the UK? I need some tomorrow Sunday, so the Jeep garage is closed, I rang jeep UK but they were no help the coolant I have in is pink mopar oat?
why do you think the bottle is empty only got 500 miles on clock
thanks

The weather is starting to warm up a bit soo depending on how you use your GC could result in more coolant being used, I wouldn't worry too much about it because as long as there isn't a leak in the system or there is no trace of coolant under the car (on the ground) you should be ok.

You sometimes do get this type of smell from new vehicles.. You said there was still coolant in the reservoir, soo I dnt think it was over heating, otherwise it would have been totally empty, and sometimes smoke...

Your best bet is to try Halfords, they have a complete list of coolant specific to your vehicle. They open on Sunday from about 10am, and they're everywhere so you should have one near you, coolant colour doesn't really matter tbh, but if you want pink then look in store for a pink colour one..

After topping it up, just keep an eye on it, checking it after you've used the car, maybe 100-200 miles, if it still uses the coolant at a rapid pace, book it in and let your local Jeep dealer check it out for you..

Hope this helps!! :)

Ummm...not to completely contradict the previous post...but...

Engines do not "use" coolant at all, regardless of driving conditions. If you are low, it either has a leak or was not properly filled when you purchased it. Top it up and keep an eye on it.

Also, coolant color certainly does matter. With the use of aluminum in these motors, you MUST use a OAT coolant. I'm not sure where to get it in the UK, but you do NOT want to use a pre-mixed "universal" fluid. Make sure you get the right stuff. Of note, the 2013 are the first to use the purple OAT as opposed to the orange HOAT coolant - many auto suppliers may not be aware of this switch yet.

Good luck!
