Two weeks and 1200 miles in my 2014 Overland
I have driven my 2014 Overland with v6 gasoline engine, Off-Road Adventure II (ORA) package, and other options for two weeks and about 1200 miles so far.
So far, nothing amiss has happened other than minor glitches in the Uconnect 8 system, such as not chiming when the blind spot sensor detects a vehicle, or that the audio volume of the voice that speaks the speed limit changes its setting, or that the voice response system doesn't understand clear, standard Midwestern English speech. The GPS system is OK, but somewhat clumsy to navigate. I await a firmware update.
The driver's seat is good and may become more comfortable, I hope, as it is broken in.
Fuel economy on the highway has been about 26 mpg.
Because the ORA package came with Michelin Latitude tires, which are unsuitable for off-roading, I replaced them today with Nokian Rotiiva AT tires at a cost of about $900. (The Michelins are now for sale.) That is my biggest gripe.
So far, so good. Wish me luck!
