2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

1 Attachment(s)
Upgraded my headlight bulbs this weekend. The rather anemic output of the stock bulbs has been remedied.

Osram nightbreaker plus H11 bulbs as recommended in a British publication called auto express amongst all high end replacement bulbs. About 50 for the pair.

Google how to replace 2014 jgc headlights for how too for video instructions (the process is same for HID and Halogen). Takes about 20 minutes to replace bulbs due to tight access.

Serious improvement in terns of visibility of the road. This is due to improved contrast from a brighter and whiter bulb. Feels much safer at night.

iPhone photo not recolored or filtered. All light is from bulbs against garage door.

I upgraded all my halogen bulbs on my 2014 Limited as well to Phillips Crystal Vision Ultras (H11 low beams, 9005 high beams, H11 fog light) and it's a 100% improvement over the yellowish stock Sylvania bulbs.

Paid about $75 for all three sets on Amazon (with free shipping).

Forgot to add this link to a product info sheet on the bulbs.

Any chance that this setup would work on a 2012?

I hate the yellowish bulbs in my Altitude.

I don't see why not if your bulbs are halogen...can't help you on the bulb size though, this is my first Jeep.

Picked up my limited 14 today. After my first ride at night, I can see I need to do an upgrade.

Are there two different bulbs for high and low beam? Both H11?

Any other brands to look into?

Thanks in advance.

Osram ones do not look too boy racer/import. I recommend them. Also, note that with any bulbs, the bluer you go the less total lumen output because the blue is a filter on the bulb.

The low beams are h11, probably don't need to replace others IMHO. High beams are 9005.

2012 Halogen head lights use the H11 bulb.
Guess I might have to invest in a pair of these....
