SRT8 rear sway bar $84 JFJ

http://www.justforjeeps.com/srreswbarbu.html

just saw this today. great price if anyone is considering the upgrade. plus, you can use the jeepgarage5 discount. i switched from the addco bar to the srt8 a couple of weeks ago and love it.

i was having some clunking in the rear. i wasn't sure if it was the sway bar(beause of the thickness) or the shocks. i bought both. it ended up being the sway bar end links so i had to buy those too. decided to stick with the srt8 bar.

I just ordered this last night, wish I new about that discount code :) oh well, I also got the new bushings and some bracket that they mentioned. Then I went to rockauto and got new end links for the front, then to shockwarehouse for bilsteins. Next week should be a fun install week :) I also have to solder that resistor for the transgo shift kit, 4 things to install and all are under the jeep

Going from a Limited... Don't you need the sway bar, bushings, AND the end links?

The end links push that price up a ton... If it was 85 bucks plus a couple bucks for bushings - it's a no brainer...

But - you need new end links?

Re: SRT8 rear sway bar $84 JFJ

I just got the Deeza front end links from rockauto to try to help the front clunk. They were like $28. They have solved the front clunk for a few people so for $28 I figure it's worth a shot.

Now the srt rear links are crazy expensive! Honestly I'm not even sure they'd fit. The srt is much lower right?

**edit: I must have misread your post, I don't think you need the links. From what I've read no one has mentioned the links and scottina06 has a kind of "all suspension questions" thread somewhere and it mention the rear srt8 made a huge improvement and could be had for around $110, so surely that doesn't include the links

you do not need new endlinks. just the sway bar and the mounting brackets/bushings.

This is awesome news... but why does JFJ package new end links with the package deal at the top of the link?

with a 2010, I don't think I need the 'brackets'. Just the bar & bushings I think...

What was wrong with the endlinks? Do you think it's possible to have a clunk-free Addco setup?

Re: SRT8 rear sway bar $84 JFJ

the bushings wore out of the endlinks and there was way too much play where the endlink attaches to the swaybar. you should be able to move the bolt a little bit but mine was completely free-floating. when addco first came out with their upgraded swaybars, there were a lot of fitment issues. i think they figured out their problems over the past 3-4 years and have them right now.

Im not sure on the 2010, but for $5.40 i'd go ahead and order them. Would suck to spend time getting the old one off only to find out you do need them. Then having to re-install the stock one while waiting for the brackets.

are you sure it's not your track bar ??? (stabilizer bar)

when do you here the clunking ?

had the similar problem with mine that's why I was just asking

get underneath the rear and hold the stabilizer bar and have someone push the rear end side to side if the clunk goes away while ur holding the stabilizer bar then that has to be replace .. I bought mine from morris 4x4 center use the code email0210 and that should get you $20.00 off
