2011 Jeep GC updates?

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here in a bit. I noticed there are some threads about UConnect updates, but that appears to be only for the 2014 GC (I think).

Can anyone tell me what updates are available to me with my old ass 2011 JGC?

What is the easiest/cheapest way for me to update my maps?

What about updating anything else?

Do you have the 430N RHB?

There is a Software update for that I know. Takes it from ver. 23.xx.xx to ver. 33.xx.xx.

Look at the lower right corner of the radio. There should be tiny letters.

In this pic you will see in the lower right RHB.

Brining this thread back from the grave. Anything else I can update with my 2011 JGC? How does one get maps updated, or anything else?

for your navigation maps, you'll need to check with the dealer to see if there has been an update disc for it. They usually come out every couple years.
If you have Uconnect and haven't done the update for it, the file can be found here:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/3u...e_uconnect.upd

and :

Here are the instructions: Make sure that you DO NOT have any power interruptions during the update, for best results have the motor running so there are no interruptions).
You will need at least a 2 GB thumb drive. If you have files on the thumb drive, please delete them and format the drive (to FAT32) just to make sure that it is completely clean.
Download it to the thumb drive that has no other files on it. Turn the radio on, Place the thumb drive in the center console USB connector (on vehicles with the dealer installed unit, it should be in the glove box), press and hold the Uconnect button for about 12 - 15 seconds, you should here "update started". This process should take about 15 - 20 minutes; there will be some beeps during the process. Please listen during the update for any error message that may be said by Uconnect. When the update is completed, the radio screen will go back to a radio display. Turn the ignition off, open & close the driverís door. Wait about 1 minute, then turn the key on and test the system.

Downloaded the file to a clean jump drive, but the car will not recognize the file. The file is only 10mb, should it be larger or is there anything that needs to be done before updating the uconnect?

Thanks for posting the instructions. The downloadable PDF link doesn't seem to work. Very helpful, I appreciate it!

I noticed this thread a long time ago but am still waiting for you to tell us which radio you have so that we can advise if there is anything available for either MAPs or functionality improvements.
