Changing Diff Gears????

I have an 04 Limited on 8.5" lift, 35" mud tires, and almost every other accessory imaginable. I will post pics for you all to drool over soon after I do a few more things to it and weather clears, but here's my issue.

Despite the best exhaust money can buy, despite dual cold air intake, a functioning hood scoop, SuperChips programming, PowerAid throttle body spacer, and high octain fuel, I am not happy with 0-60 times. I know that this is now a very off-road vehicle, but even for offroad, I need more on the lower end.

I am now considering changing the ratios in the differentials. For these sized tires, does anyone have a suggestions that will improve performance?

Axles are Dana 44 Aluminum (rear) and Dana 30 front (QuadraDriveII).

Dana 35 front? i thought that was a rear diff only. not familiar with WJ's but i thought they had D30's?

Is that a daily driver? you have the HO 4.7 right? have you upgraded the front D30 with better shafts? i thought 33'' tire were pushing it on that axle.
I have a HP Dana 30 on the XY with 32'' and i don't feel safe pushing it on mud holes, i still have the stock 3.55's thought and might go with a super D30 soon since it's a keeper.

If it's just a fun toy i would go with a 4.88 gear for improved low end torque.
Not sure on the brand thought.

Re: Changing Diff Gears????

Daily driver: yes sometimes, but I have 2 other Jeeps
High Output: yes, and modified (air, exhaust, programming, yadayada)
Upgraded Shafts: No, waiting to see how these do, will upgrade later as needed

I am not even sure about what the stock gears are. I had never heard of a super D30, but I will check on that. Are mine likely to be the 3.55's?

As it is, I have had it off road and done some hill climbs, mud holes, creek crossings, and some highway driving up to some imressive speeds. I haven't had any troubles from the axles yet, but with gear swaps, the axles will concern me more.

What kind of difference would 4.88 ratios make?
