Condensation in headlights

2 Attachment(s)
I have a 2014 Summit and I was wondering if anyone else has been having condensation issues with their headlights. The condensation disappears after 20 minutes or so once the truck is parked, but I get it quite frequently. I've had numerous vehicles with HID's and have never had this problem before.

This will get bad over time. Take it to the dealer to get it fixed/replaced.

I had this problem the night after I brought my Jeep home. Haven't noticed it since...

Per the Chrysler Bulletin my dealer printed off for me...this is a known issue and they wont replace the headlights unless the condensation does not go away after a short period of time with the HID's on.

I had this problem the day I picked mine up, but it hasn't occurred since then. The dealer said if it continued to do this they would change out the assemblies. HID lights put out a lot of heat, so the assembly is vented, condensation can form when conditions are conducive, but the heat from the bulbs should evaporate it quickly. If, as you say, it is a recurring problem, take it to your dealer.

these are VENTED headlights....they will do this when new or if you have the rear covers off during extreme temp/humidity changes.

Same thing happened to me the night I brought mine home. So this shouldn't be an issue long-term if it keeps doing this?

Like I said, my dealer said bring it in if it keeps doing it.

if the lamps keep doing it and the fog turns into water droplets....that stain the lamps....then I would take it in.

My Dealer said that if the water starts to pool or doesn't evaporate after running the lights for a while, or the lens started to get stained, then they'll replace them.

If you get condensation that burns off after turning on the lights, that's normal.

Both of my headlights had water in them as well as both tail lights when I took delivery. Had them all replaced and never had a drop in them since.

Get them replaced.

sorry...but the OP's pics are normal for a new vehicle. Unless he has pooling water that will ruin the aesthetics of the lamp....they dont need replaced. My brand new SRT did tha same thing the day i brought it home. It was raining and humid that day. One night in the garage solved that and Ive not had one problem since.

Picked up my new 2014 jeep grand cherokee overland on Friday. The same thing is happening to my headlamps. Went to the dealer this morning he checked the seals and had the lamps on for 20 minutes and it went away. He gave me the same notice from Chrysler stating its normal. I don't think it is and if it doesn't resolve itself I'm going to go back again and again until my lamps are replaced.
