2014 Grand Cherokee Diesel Oil Change/ Urea Refill

How easy will it be to oil change the 2014 grand cherokee diesel with the urea thing as well?

This is the VM Motori 3.0 V6 engine.

Very easy but the 1st question would be how you got your hands on one since they can't even be ordered..

The urea re-fill port is right next to the fuel re-fill port under the fuel fill door based on photos that have been posted here some time ago. Very easy to deal with.

A quick google.

Diesel exhaust fluid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This will be my third vehicle with urea. It's easier to use then you might think. Really, requires little to no extra effort.

In my 2011 F250, I had to fill about once every 7K miles.

In my 2011 BMW (yes, they have a diesel car) it's about once every 8-9K miles.

As for oil changes...it ain't rocket science. Drain old...add new filter...add new oil :)

How often would be the interval of replacing the fuel filter, since it is a diesel?

I think the recommended is 10k.

Would it be hard to change the fuel filter? Since there would be urea, will the fuel filter change interval be less?

Since I am no longer in the market for a GC diesel and opted for a Cayenne instead, I have been on other sites. Porsche requires oil changes every 5,000 miles. I think other manufacturers are on the 10K range. So, I posted a question on the VW forum about it. It seems that Porsche does not trust the quality of US diesel fuel. This is the thread:

The urea is injected into the exhaust, it can have NO effect on the fuel system,, why would it effect the fuel filter change interval?

Ummm, better check again - in Australia the recommended fuel filter change interval is 40k. The vehicle has 2 filters fitted just in front of the fuel tank, underneath. Not really a roadside job to change, or even to drain water from the included water trap.
