side view mirror question
 
has anyone taken apart a side view mirror? i want to add puddle lights in the mirror and want to remove the glass from the console so i can run wires into the truck... thanks

Was just in similar thoughts Irf.....to add some light mod to my mirrors. So I'm interested in knowing how to take them apart as well.

Off topic: Irf you gonna end up with a UFO man....all those lights :lol: :thumbsup:

Running wires into the truck isnt too hard..I did it when I installed the power folding Overland mirrors on the truck...

the mirror glass can be mved all the way to the farthest outside point to access the clips behind the glass. The glass just clips/snaps into the housing. The entire mirror cover can be removed...but it is a pain in the butt.

i just want ot be able to remove the glass so i can drill a few holes and stick a few leds in there.... hmmmm now i'm wondering if there will be enough room in there to do that

Irf led's like the carco ones we have? And did you find the spare LED's mine still strobes. LOL
