Custom Leather Installation / Leather Replacement
10 Attachment(s)
This is my first how to so please go easy. :D

This install features our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the factory "leather". We purchased this vehicle because it was in great shape but the upholstery was starting to fail. The factory leather is also almost completely vinyl. Owning a custom leather business, it was the perfect candidate for a swap.

We selected a package we felt would capture the imagination of the Jeep enthusiast. The replacement is 100% leather (no vinyl) with a slight two tone, perforated inserts and Hemi Badging. Sema style Mopar logos are embroidered on all 4 front bolsters.

I wanted to do a DIY aimed at the average guy with basic tools and skills which covers ~70% of our business. This install was done without any special shop equipment, in my garage and in my living room to show how this can be done DIY by yourselves with a little time and patience. We did not use a head shrinker or a steamer. If you have factory cloth , you can swap in custom leather as well. We have almost all Jeep patterns available.

Tools you will need:

Basic sockets and hand tools
Hog Ring and Plier Kit
E Torx socket set (seat belt)
Torx socket set
Sharp knife with blades.
Strong hands, some patience, basic mechanical ability, a couple Saturdays.

Helpful Items:

Rubber Work Out Mats (nice to work on)
Right Angle Hook Tool (handy for clips)

I will answer any questions the best that I can. If the photos show up small, I will edit this to add a link to full size images.

awesome! I had a look at your website but I didn't see any jeep stuff listed. Would you be able to build a identical looking factory driver's side seat cover? I'm guessing you have the pattern now. :)

Re: Custom Leather Installation / Leather Replacement
The jeep stuff is hidden under featured interiors >> Jeep

Everything is custom and we do not have everything online. Our image gallery has a great customer section as well.

Canada Seat Skins

To replace just one piece, you would need to call your Jeep dealership. The pattern we have is slightly different and the colors we have to select from are different as well. You can swap that piece yourself however. No need to pay the dealer to install.

Hope it helps.
