2012 RB2 Uconnect Streaming Quality

I have got a WK2 GC with a RB2 radio. Build date is 9/11. I've tried updating the uconnect using the updates posted on this and other sites and all of them fail with message "The used update archive is not compatible with this unit". I've read on some of the other sites that it might have to do with the fact that my uconnect is a non-NAFTA model but am not sure. Everything works fine it's just the bluetooth streaming that's an dissapointment. Has anybody found an update that will work with the RB2? The radio software version is 10.00.11.

Thats one of the minor issues I noticed is running BT to play music seems to not stream very well, so I just bought a chord for my Iphone and its for the truck....problem solved... But yes I had an issue, it was more of an annoyance but nothing that really bothered me too much.

I can use an aux cable but the feature is there and would prefer to use it, it does work how ever if the iPhone is locked and has blank screen? Once you start using the phone you start to get streaming issues

I also have the RB2 V 10.00.11 and I can't get anywhere. I've tried it on CD, DVD, memory stick, with and without folders, engine on, engine off, engine running, radio off, radio on. It reads the files then nothing. I don't know what non-NAFTA is but I'm in Australia so I guess that might have something to do with it.

The RB2 radio is a ROW (rest of the world) radio, the previous files that you tried were for NAFT (North America). Please try the file link below along with the previous instructions:

******NOTE, please rename the file to uconnect.upn

Thanks for that! So I put uconnect.upn in the root directory of a USB stick, switched on the ignition, radio off, inserted the USB stick, the stick was read but still nothing after 5 minutes. What am I doing wrong?

When Isis mine with USB, it wouldn't work won't the USB on the head unit but did with the one in the centre console

when you download the file from the link, the file will be named:

uconnect_05091962AA_v53-03-05_20120628.upn

you need to remove all the digits so it looks like this:
uconnect.upn

The USB must be used in the center console or glovebox USB connector and not the radio face plate USB. Hope this helps..

Great, glad you got it to work. This update will only work from the remote mounted USB connector and not the one on the radio. How's the system working for you now?

It took me forever to find the USB connector in the console. I found it at the back of the upper shelf which was not at all where the manual said it should be. Anyway, still no luck. It reads the memory stick then nothing. I waited 5 minutes each try. Should I wait longer?
