staggered 22inch wheels ordered

Just ordered a set of staggered 22 inch deep concave rohana sc5 wheels for my 2013 Grand Cherokee Altitude

22"9 fronts and 22"10.5 rears
Tires will be 285/40/22 fronts and 305/40/22 rears w toyo proxes st2s

Was told the overall diameter would only be a 6 tenths of an inch difference or something like that as to protect the tranny and differential..

Just wanted to receive some feedback as to how safe this setup should be for the Chicago summer season.
I probably shouldve posted this BEFORE I went and ordered everything.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I was told that you shouldnt do staggered on the jeeps because of awd or somethin like that but it could just be bs

Appreciate the response!

Yes I was concerned as well but apparently 4x4 and AWD are two different things? AWD is engaging all four wheels at all times where as 4x4 alternates power depending on what mode you're set on.

Any more input would be appreciated.

I have the 2013 Altitude WK2. The wheels will hopefully be going on the truck later today.

They're Rohana rc5 five spoke matte black 9 in front 10.5 in back

Theyre also wrapping the wheels for me. The entire face will be gun metal grey and the entire barrel and lips will be wrapped gloss black.

Sounds like the wheels will look sick, not sure about the whole awd and staggered thing i figured id just play it safe and use the same size all the way around i figured if the factory did it maybe i should too

those 305 40 22's are gonna be tight on the rear. I had a set on my SRT and they were super tight...I switch to 35 series

Re: staggered 22inch wheels ordered

Thanks Scott!

I spoke to my guy at he shop and he is offering to put 285/40/22 on all four tires. My concern and what I forgot to confirm is the new overall rolling diameter difference with the 9in wide rims in front and 10.5in in the back. I'm sure it will be minimal.

Hey Scott would you mind sending me the link to become a contributor to the site? I've had my Altitude for almost 9 months now and been browsing the site for awhile now and feel theres a lot more valuable info to be gained from many well informed members and contributing in a small way is the least I can do.

Also I'll probably have many many questions in the upcoming months so thanks in advance.

Got the wheels installed! Heres a link to some pictures the shop out here in Chicago put up on their facebook page. Real good guys. The owner Ernie was very helpful. Still trying to find out how to upload my own pictures while rushing out to work this morning. Keep getting an security token error message when trying to upload. Awaiting arrival of black lug nuts and still considering a eibach drop.

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely considering the eibach lowering kit. The chrome lug nuts bother me more than the gap does though :p

Even considered airbagging the thing just so I can have the option to run a large winter tire combo during the Chicago winters and not be stuck with a lowered stance.

I can definitely appreciate a slammed gapless stance but just something about doing it to a Jeep still irks me. Even with my semi DUBCARSHOW wheels. Maybe I'll consider some 305s to fill in the wheel well more on my next set of tires. :D

Im in chicago, and i used the eibachs then gonna use the stock rims with winter tires, it should work well...it really looks good but that gap needs to be smaller
