Changing language on U connect

After Telstra set up an upgrade on my mobile phone I lost bluetooth, while trying to set it up again the nice lady decided that I was speaking German and I haven't even had a drink, although I might start if I can't get the language back to English. can anybody help, I dont want to take language lessons.

Horse, The lady didn't listen to me when I did that, however I fixed it through the EVIC, go to language and make the change back to English, however I guessed the German word for language.
