Washing machine destroys keyfob in 2014 GC
I learned a valuable lesson About Jeep keyless fobs recently. Seems that they are allergic to water. My wife washed a pair of my pants and I had forgotten to take out the keyfob to my new 2014 GC Limited. A new one cost me $200- keyfob $150 and $50 for programming.
I used to have a 2010 Toyota Highlander which also had the keyless option and my fob was run through the wash about 5 times and spent 10 minutes at the bottom of a nearby swimming pool. The fob worked after every incident.
Words of caution: If you own a Jeep with keyless start, don't mix your keyfob with h2O.

Does your wife know that you told the world it was her fault?
RFOL! I didn't say it was her fault to the whole world- just to her. It was actually my fault for not taking the fob out of my pocket.....grrrrrrr, one too may crowns
