water in truck

hey guys
for the past couple of days if i slam on my breaks i hear water sloshing around from under me. at first i thought it was a water bottle making the noise but i cleaned out my car and i still hear it. only thing i can think of is there is water under my car somewhere or maybe the molding. my question is has anyone had this problem or maybe have an idea on where to start

thanks

I don't know how to post a link to another thread but check out the one titled "Just left the lot and taking it back..." There have also been other threads on similar issues.

From what I gather from these threads, there can be different issues. For some, it is a problem with the air conditioner drainage hose.

Try the search function. Several threads discuss different issues. Could depend on model year, trim level, options. Pain in the but, but are all repairable. If you're under warranty take it in for service.

Are you sure it isn't gas sloshing in the fuel tank?

Re: water in truck

It's not the gas. I have a '14 with 600 miles on it and it sounds like the red sea is parting every time I hit the breaks. Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. It does NOT matter the model year. I am seriously thinking about moving into a Range Rover at a huge loss. RR's may have some issues, but at least their trucks don't fill up with water like a bath tub.

...and for those of you who say it's an easy fix, it SHOULD NOT be happening in the first place, especially considering it's a well known problem through previous model years. Means that Chrysler just doesn't give a f**k.

Check in the compartment under the driver and passenger seats (battery compartment).

Yes, I believe that's where mine is coming from.
