Roller ball like noise
There's a noise that sounds like a steel roller ball inside the drivers side of the car when on or off the brakes or throttle.
It's almost like the soda bottle trick left inside the door panel at the factory by prankster assembly line workers of times past.
Anyone familiar with this?

Re: Roller ball like noise
I had a stray bolt in the compartment beneath the driver's seat. Would rattle around on turns and stops.

Popped off the cover and there it was. Not sure where it came from, but this did stop the noise.

Good luck finding!

Re: Roller ball like noise
Just picked up an Overland for my mom and same thing. Drove back to dealer after trying docent things and found a loose piece of plastic against seat rail but that wasn't it. Dealers trim guy had gone home and sales guy didn't want to break the seat. But it too seemed to be in the seat. Guess the bolt tighten robot is on strike.

Oddly got home and realized the rear Window is clear. It's not smoked which I didn't think any Cherokee had a clear rear Window.

Thank you for your replies
It doesn't rattle like a loose nut, it's a steel roller on a track type sound.
Wife decided it was time to take it to the dealer but it has 37k on it so that's out.
Are the door panels fragile to remove?
