After a bit of research the Max care unlimited warranty really seems like a great idea. The primary reason we ever trade in or buy a new vehicle is the looming threat of having to spend money on expensive out of warranty repairs.
Just curious where the cheapest place to get one would be?
I bought my 17 limited with 7/100k. But do to miles I put on it. 1.5 weeks later I called up and asked if I can change it to life time. Finance manager said paper work has been finalized and sent and to just keep what I had in case I wanted to trade it in 7 years later..... now I'm worried because I put about 70 miles plus a day.
On cancellation requests received* within the first 60 days from the original purchase date of the Plan, you will be refunded the full amount you paid for the Plan, provided no claims have been paid against the Plan. In the event claims have been paid, or requests received*
Old thread but just upgraded from 6/60k to 7/75k. Did it at dealer no big deal if done in first 30 days. Looked at life time but holy crap can't swing 4 grand.
Anyone quoting you 4 grand for the Lifetime contract is getting a lot more than the online sources are selling it for...$2500-2800 or so at current pricing. It makes me wonder if you paid too much for the 6/60 and now 7/70...
The Mopar MaxCare Extended Service Contracts are available from other dealers online, quite often for substantial discounts off the local dealer's price. There is no "maybe" on that. At a minimum, having a quote in-hand can be used to negotiate the price with your local dealer. Mine wouldn't discount even a penny...so they didn't get that business. Ziegler did. At the time I bought, the lifetime contract was $2180 with $100 deductible. It's up a little now to where I indicated earlier, but $2700 is a lot more attractive for the Lifetime than $3700 is!
If you're not calling Rodney at Chrysler Warranty Direct, you're probably paying too much for your warranty. He can also give refunds if you overpaid for your warranty at the dealer. Give him a shout at 888-352-6103.
Good to know. I have 7/100k, I do a lot of miles. I called Chrysler they told me to go back to my dealer. My dealer said papers went through already and who knows where I'll be in 5 years if I trade or keep it....
Got mine from ChryslerWarrantyDirect. As others said, it's a genuine Mopar warranty and NOT third party. My vehicle is a 2015 High Altitude, I bought used but it was placed in service on March 2016. Air suspension alone is several thousand to fix, and we all know it will need to be fixed eventually.
Bought MaxCare for $2310 / $100 deductible - 8 years/125,000 miles. Good until 3/2024 if I don't hit miles first. No lifetime warranty being offered anymore.
I am not current on non-SRT vehicles so it may be but are you confusing this with the fact that effective 6/1/16 Lifetime plans were nixed FCA wide for any SRT vehicle?
I just paid $2735 for a lifetime Maximum Care service plan with $100 deductible with the purchase of our untitled 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi. Zeigler currently has them for $2795 for our particular specs.
