AFE Stage 2 Pro Dry S vs AFE Stage 2 Pro 5R

I tested on the same spot today both of these. Originally I have the stage 2 Pro Dry S. So I bought the Pro 5R cone filter from amazon, which has a part number of 24-91031. The Pro Dry S has a part # 21-90045

Any here's a pic of the Pro Drys MAF test

Highest came out 386.9 g/s.
I then stopped and removed the Pro Dry S and placed the Pro 5R , and this is the result.

The difference is about 11g/s, having the Pro 5R with a higher number.

Besides the difference between the filters, how much of a difference did the kit make over stock? I recently purchased the Stage 2 Pro Dry S CAI kit and have been contemplating on installing it or not. Let me know! Thanks.

I dont remmember exactly what I got with stock intake but if im not mistaken it was around 280g/s. You will feel the difference in power after installing the new intake.

Thanks for the info. For that small of difference, I'd much rather stick to dry. Oiled filters are a pain to maintain.

Yes the oiled filter requires more work during maintenance. The dry filter you can just wash it and that's it. The oiled one has to be washed, then wait for it to naturally dry, and then re-oil carefully.

As for power, I don't see that there is a big difference. A difference of 11g/s might translate to maximum of 2HP on the engine. 2HP more may not be worth it.
