Unable to engage surround sound option on Uconnect 8.4
 
For some reason when I try to enable the surround sound feature on the Uconnect 8.4 radio it'll turn itself off within a couple of seconds.

Anyone having the same issues? :confused:

Press Surround button once, followed immediately by pressing the back arrow, upper left corner of the screen. Surround will stay on. When you do not press the arrow, you're correct, it does not stay on. Test this method,and you go back to that screen you will see the Surround did stay on. Why it is set this way.... Don't know.

is the engine off but in "run"? I was having this issue with any option that would go back to previous state in a couple of seconds, put the engine in run mode and didnt have any issue since then

I tried this method and no luck. Once I go back to the menu surround sound is still on the OFF position!

You need to upgrade your software to version 13.19.0. Your dealer will do this for no charge. This new version will help correct a number of issues. More info here:

This is actually the second update from your version.

This is actually original build. There are at least 4 versions since then. But the gist of what you are saying is correct. it is bugggggyyy.

Thanks for the information. I did a little searching on this forum and ran into Willx post in regards to the new firmware update on the Uconnect Radio, hopefully this update will fix this problem.

Good information, but something I will have the dealer do.

more to the fact people don't think realeases come quick enough. There have been lots of releases and stuff I would never run!!
