Also need some buyer advice

I am looking to buy a 2006 jgc overland with 80,359 miles for 14,000 + 995.00 closing costs, am i paying too much?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Guessing 4x4?

WKFish 07-12-2013 02:41 PM

Hey im the original buyer advice :).. If its 4x4 if you could get it for 12,000 you would be getting what it should be priced at.. That being mint condition no scratches or anything I would say offer 11,500 and if he counter offers for 12,000 say okay then you help me on taxes so say you got the car for 7,000.. That's basically what I did saved 240$ not sure what state your from that depends aswell.

I looked at several jeeps before I found "the one" and NADA can be very helpful I don't find kbb to be very accurate with their pricing.

Yes its 4x4, Overland's have the full package so they have everything. WKFish thanks for the advice, it looks pretty clean, also has chrome accents, so I guess the 14,995 they are asking is ok, because your NADA jpeg said 15,700 for clean retail. Thanks again.

Again that top mark is usually what dealers consider their pricing. If you are buying from a dealer I would say go for it but if its private party I would try and get him to come down. I hope everything goes in your favor let me know! Post pics!!

Thats about what they go for here at the dealerships. Either way id offer 14k Out the door. 13500 for private sale.

Re: Also need some buyer advice

The dealer is listing the jeep for 14,000 online and say 995.00 is his closing cost and other fees so it is 14,995 am I paying too much? the other sales rep is saying 15,995, I told her I already agreed on 14,995. let me kno, my budget is pretty tight and I will be shipping it to the us virgin islands so I will need cash for shipping.

I agree with zeprider I would offer 14k out the door I mean that's the least they can do they will make a profit eitherway. I would also explain to them that you have to ship it and its not happening unless you get the price you want!

I paid 14,500 plus closing cost for a 05 limited that was loaded and in really good condition with 102000 miles. I am in California so it was bit expensive but I got a 3 month warranty which came in handy. By my books 14k is a good deal on that jeep.
