Can't figure out what the common denominator is that is causing this electrical problem in my 05 WK limited 5.7 with 102,000 miles on it. Sometimes it does it when I'm driving down the road sometimes it happens at a dead stop but at random my electronics seem to just short out. It doesn't mater if the road is wet, or rough. Doesn't seem to happen only when it rains or when I go through a car wash or hit bumps or anything I can narrow it down to. I replaced the battery about 2 weeks ago (2nd one in two years). When the electronics short out the jeep doesn't stall or Sputter or anything. Seems to only kill the dash , radio, ac, and headlamps and internal lighting. Any help would be great. The jeep dealership doesn't seem to be interested in helping me figure out if it's coveted under my extended warranty so I need whatever help I can get.
Here is a link to a video I took of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLZO...e_gdata_player
Re: WTF! Where should I start my electrical demon hunt!
Call the warranty company and see if it is covered. If it is, g to a different dealer.
The warranty company will only tell me if specific parts are or are not covered. The problem is they can't seem to tell me what the problem is. Last visit they claimed it was an abs sensor... Likely story
