I am disappointed...

I feel like I am being left out of all the excitement that others on this forum experience on a day to day basis.

  1. When I ordered my 2012 Jeep, the Dealer service was incredible. The entire transaction took less than 30 minutes. I cannot believe that the Dealer insulted me by not keeping me there for at least three hours.
  2. Then, Jeep had the audacity to send me a rebate for $1,000. How dare they?
  3. When I took delivery of the Jeep in October, 2011, the Sales Rep spent 45 minutes explaining how to operate the controls. I cannot believe he wasted my time like that...
  4. For my one year service, the Dealer insulted me by charging only $17 for an oil change. They also performed a bunch of services I did not request, such as topping off all the fluids, checking tire pressure, washing the car etc. How dare they perform services I did not request?
  5. The Dealer has a nice waiting area, free Wi-Fi, and Coffee. Why are they treading on Porsche, Mercedes and BMW Dealer turf by offering all this free stuff?
  6. In the 21 months I have owned the Jeep, excluding gas, I have spent $17 for an oil change. These guys are certifiably nuts to build a vehicle that does not break down, and costs so little to maintain. What are they thinking?
  7. I spent $38,100 (after the rebate and dealer discount, excluding taxes). Why on Earth are they selling these Jeeps for such a low price, especially with a nicely designed, high quality interior, and great exterior styling?
I am very frustrated, and ready to give up on the whole Jeep experience.

I'm glad you posted this. I was almost set on buying a Grand Cherokee.

Are you being compensated for this post of yours?

If not...Chrysler should take note of your dealership, and use it as a benchmark for the others. Because from my own personal experience and from what I've read on just this web site alone, your dealership is an anomaly.

Most American dealerships in my area cannot hold a candle to the customer service you get at the foreign dealerships.

:(

My experience with the '12 and Central-Florida Chrysler-Jeep (plug) has been similar. Only time I visit is for an oil change or parts. Of course my LF has them well trained.

I don't agree with that at all, Nissan are by far the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with concerning any form of service.

Nice to see someone confirm what I have said, THERE ARE SOME GOOD DEALERS out there!

If you want to feel better by paying more for your GC, just buy it up here in Canada lol. You're guaranteed to pay a few thousand more and wont get the great dealer discount and rebate available south of the border. Guess I should feel honored Chrysler makes sure I don't think it's a cheap Jeep. ;)

Re: I am disappointed...

August Consumer reports rated repair satisfaction among dealerships for 32 car manufacturers. I am not going to list them all out but below are best 5 and worst 5 with 1. being the best.

1. Buick
2. Lexus
3. Acura
4. Cadillac
5. Lincoin
.
.
28. Jeep
29. Mitsubishi
30. Nissan
31. Volkswagen
32. Land Rover

It also rated the repair satisfaction for each of the brands against independent shops. Independent shops always won out by a fairly good margin.
I am going to give the Jeep dealer a chance but I don't have high hopes. Will roll the dice and hope to get a good one. There probably are some good ones out there but the pickings are probably slim.
