2006 wrangler climate control issues

06 wrangler keeps burning up fan switches. A shame you have to buy whole control unit. We have changed 2 units 2 resistors, alternator, main power wire and blower motor. My mechanic hooked up a switch from an old blazer at least it's all brass. This lasted about 6 months, a new record. Now the fan works in the wrong positions and ac is not working at all. It has been to dealer 3 times and local mechanic several more. I know this has to be a deeper underlying electric issue. Dealer wanta it for at least four days. This is not feasible as it's my wife's mail truck. Any ideas where to start

I asked about electrical problems concerning ac heat yesterday. I know it's an overcharging problem. I'm wondering if it could be that one of the contacts on rear defogger is broken. It sounds too simple and obvious that everybody missed it. I know it's broken but could this be the cause.
